About Me

My name is Stephanie S. Bourdier, and I was born and raised in China Grove, North Carolina. I had worked as a full-time teacher at South Rowan Academy for 14 years before deciding to follow my passions and become an art teacher! I love art of all mediums, and sharing that love of art with others.

My experiences as a teacher in South Rowan Academy include being a lead teacher in a two and three year-old classroom for six years, working as a floater for various classrooms, ranging from ages 1 to school-aged, and co-teaching for school children ages 5-13 during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have also worked as a before and after school teacher.

I have previously graduated with Honors with an Associate in Arts and Fine Arts from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College before transferring to a university. I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Concentration in Arts Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and will be set to graduate in May, 2024 after the completion of my student teaching assignment at Millbridge Elementary School.
